School Contributions

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for :

  • uniforms
  • school books and equipment
  • excursions
  • extra-curricular activities.

We try to keep costs to a minimum and may be able to assist families who are having financial difficulty paying schooling costs.

Voluntary school contribution

At the start of each year we may ask for a voluntary school contribution to enhance our educational and sporting programs. All voluntary financial contributions (tax deductible) from parents, carers and community members are welcomed by the school as these assist with the purchase of additional services and resources which enhance teaching and learning opportunities for DHPS students.

The Department of Education limits the amount a school may request to $60 for one child or $100 per family. Parents and carers may elect to pay this contribution by instalment across terms 1, 2 and 3. Additional donations are welcome at any time.
